High School Spring Sports Meeting - Monday, March 3, 2014
This meeting is mandatory. Athletes going out for a spring sport and their parents need to attend.
3:15-4:00 pm - Baseline concussion testing Session 1
4:00-4:45 pm - Baseline concussion testing Session 2
4:30-5:15 pm - Pay fees and pick up and fill out forms for spring sports
5:15-5:30 pm - Matt Meronk - overview of athletic code and other policies
5:30 pm - Individual Sports - Coaches Meetings with Parents/Athletes
-Current WIAA athletic physical completely filled out and with signatures (the clinics have the forms) or alternate year card (if in the second year of physical)
-Cautionary for sport (this form is good for four years)
-Baseline concussion test permission form - Every athlete will need to take a concussion test, this is a state law.
-Activity Code (this code changes drastically from the middle school code) - As an athlete you will fall under both the Antigo High School Activity Code and the WIAA Rules and Regulations. As an athlete you are and will be held to high standards.
-Insurance waiver form or brochure to purchase insurance
-Each coach will have specific rules as well.
**Baseball and softball participants will need to fill out the Drive/Ride Permission Form.
High School Athletic Fees:
$50 per sport - if you go out for three sports in one year, your third sport fee will be $20. (Bowling does not count towards the three sports)

Softball - March 17, 2014
*Open gyms at the high school are Sundays from 6:00-7:30 pm on February 23 and March 2, 6, 16. Open gyms at the Hospital Center for Health & Performance are Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 pm.
Golf - March 31, 2014
Boys Tennis - March 31, 2014
*Open gyms at the middle school multi-purpose room are Mondays from 8:00-10:00 pm on February 24 and March 3, 10, 17, 24.
Antigo High School & Middle School Sports Physical Notice
Effective January 1, 2014 - The Aspirus General Clinics are now offering WIAA sports physicals year round at a cost of $30. Please contact them to make your appointment. Do not wait until the last moment to make an appointment. The physical must be paid for at the time of the appointment. No insurance will be filed except for those who have health insurance coverage under Medical Assistance. If you are not certain if your athlete needs a physical, please contact Beth Decker at Antigo High School (715)623-7611 ext 2100. Any questions regarding the physicals should be directed to the Aspirus General Clinic.
Parents and student-athletes that are unable to attend the Sports Meeting should view the sports meeting presentation, read the Antigo School District Activity Code and take the Athletics and Activities Code Exam (see the three links below). To receive credit for the Sports Meeting, the parent and student-athlete together must score 80% or better on the exam.
