Antigo High School opened with its first class in 1890. We are a comprehensive public high school serving grades eight through twelve. The school offers rigorous academic programs that include Advanced Placement, Honors, support courses in language arts and math, career courses, special needs offerings, and a successful English Learner program. We are proud of our student engagement beyond the classroom where our students compete in 20 sports programs, a nationally recognized Agriculture program, 23 clubs, and Performing Arts and Band programs.
Located in Antigo, Wisconsin, a community of 8,004 in north central Wisconsin. 54% of our students population is considered socio-economically disadvantaged. Of the class of 2017 , 45% will be attending a four year university, 26% enrolled in a community college, and 3% joined the military.
The mission of Antigo High School is to graduate students to possess the background knowledge, academic skills, and technology expertise that they will need to become life-long learners, productive workers, and civic-minded community members. We also believe that participation in school activities builds stronger relationships, improves self-esteem, and develops the skills students need to prepare them to meet future challenges in college and the workforce.
